Oh.... Christmas Tree.... Oh....

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone!
I'm soooo glad we are coming to the end
of the week! My Seven year old can't wait
any longer for Halloween! It needs to hurry up!
I told him I would say that... even though I
can't do anything about it! LOL
He's dressing up as Darth Vader...
Even though he has NEVER EVER seen a Star Wars Movie...
?? I was like are you sure and he said YES! It looks cool MOM!
What do you say to something like that? I will tell ya this...
His costume is big enough, that I should get 2 years out of it!
We shall see what happens in a year, but I'm pretty sure if the costume
still fits he WILL Wear it again! :o)
Today I have a simple card....
Nothing super fancy or anything
just simple and easy to put together....
This should help those of you, who like to
make quick and easy Christmas cards! :o)

(Click on the Photo to Enlarge the Picture)

This card was made using the Christmas Cards Cartridge...
The MAIN reason I bought this cartridge was for this
Image... WHY??? I don't know... I was just drawn to it! :o)
Sooo as you can tell I just took pieces from the
Cartridge to make my card! I LOVE doing that! :o)
I Cut the Tree & Top Note @ 4 1/2"

(Click on the Photo to Enlarge the Picture)

Here is a side view to show that I Popped the Tree up...
Card Stock, Ribbon - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper - Imaginisce
Gem Star - KI Memories

So as you can see this came together pretty quickly....
I used my Design Studio to hide all the features that
I did not want to cut out... :o) It's a perfect card
for Mass Producing when you just need to get your
Christmas Cards made! Well that's it for me this week...
Miislucky should be by tomorrow with something...
If not... well you know I'll be here then! LOL
I want to wish you all a HAPPY and SAFE HALLOWEEN!
For you and your Families!
I'll be back on Monday! November 1st!
With a Thanksgiving Card...
Enjoy the rest of your DAY!

Season of Thanks!

Hello and Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today's card is designed just for the
Cricut Cardz Challenge this week!
You are to make a Card for Thanksgiving
using the Card Feature from any Cartridge
you'd like, and using any colors you'd like!
Well it's not my week for the Design team but
I still wanted to play along.... Sooo here is my
card for this weeks Challenge! :o)

(Click on the Photo to Enlarge the Picture)

I actually got the card feature off of the
Thanksgiving Cartridge! :o) It shows it as a Place card,
But I used my Design Studio
and made it the regular A2 Size card!
Then I cut the overlay out as well...
I cut off (1) of the flourishes because I just didn't like it!
The Turkey was cut at 2 1/2" and I cut a second
turkey leg for added pop! :o)

(Click on the Photo to Enlarge the Picture)

As you can see... I actually did the inside
of my card too! Shocker!!! I KNOW right! :o)
Just to let you all know.... I like to do the insides of my cards,
but only for family and friends.... If someone wants to purchase
one of my cards I do not do the inside...

(Click on the Photo to Enlarge the Picture)

Here is the side view to show the Turkey Leg
Popped up... YUMMY! LOL
Card stock, Designer Paper, Ink, Stamps - Stampin' Up
Leaf Punch - McGill
Well.... That's my card for today!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
and play along! :o)
Enjoy the rest of your day!!!!

First time using Vinyl.....

Hello and Happy Friday Everyone!
Miislucky told me to post today....
But she should be posting something
for ya tomorrow... she's ssslllooowwwwly
recovering... So you're stuck with me today!
Last nights card swap was fun and I'm so
glad we started it back up! We have 16 ladies
in our swap and I knew a couple of them, but
met some nice new people... And I was RIGHT!!!
NONE of them knew how to make a JOY FOLD CARD!
Well except for my Mom... But that's cuz I already
told her about it a long time ago! tehehehe
They were happy to make it and they all liked my card...
That was nice! Soooo next month we'll be making
Christmas Cards... Can you imagine... I will have 16 different
Christmas Cards and I only had to make 1 of the designs (16x's)...
Now I like that type of swap! :o) Maybe next month
I will post the cards that I got so you all can
see how crafty these ladies are.... I'll let ya know! :o)
Any way.... One of the things I tried to do last weekend
was try and cut vinyl... Key word (TRY) LOL
Soooo, I'm not proud of what I made.... But I made it
and so I'm gonna show it to you.... Please don't laugh...
Well... It's Ok to laugh cuz I know I did! LOL

I used Fake Pumpkins... I got them at Michael's
when I went down to Grand Junction, CO. a month ago...
And my plan was to decorate them with Vinyl...
I purchased some Black Shimmer Vinyl
that I thought would look COOL on the pumpkins...
But come to find out it was harder than I thought...
I actually cut out a Mummy from "Pumpkin Carving"
But I had a heck of a time trying to put it on the pumpkin...
Then I got frustrated and then I said
the heck with this.... LOL
So I used a different Cartridge.... Now, I Can't
remember which one it was ... and just made faces
for my SAD Pumpkins! :o)

I believe this one is the Frankin' Stein one....
It kind a looks like me when I had trouble putting
on the vinyl! Teheheheheh :o)

Ok..... and this one just didn't really fit
the shape of this particular pumpkin....
Sooo after trying a few things I added a nose... LOL
The nose is from Frankin' Stein....
Any who.... That was another project I tried to complete
last weekend... and I need to work on my VINYL SKILLS!
It was my first try and I promise I will work
on more Vinyl and strive to get better at it! :o)
Soooo glad it's the weekend.... :o) I'll be back
next week to show you some things I've made...
Enjoy the weekend and look for Miislucky's post
tomorrow!  HAVE A GREAT DAY! :o)

Card Swap Tonight!

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone!!!
Today I'm really excited... A friend of mine
and I have finally gotten together to start
up a Card Swap! We haven't done one in about
2 yrs... maybe a little longer than that... We've
talked about it a bunch of times and now the day
has finally come! Tonight a 7pm we will have our
first card Swap... Since she and I are hosting
it we will be bringing the first cards for
everyone to make... I found out last night that
there are 14 of us... How great is that! She called
to tell me to make more cards and I laughed and
said I already made 15 cards soooo I'm covered!!!
She couldn't believe that I was sooo prepared...
But if anyone knows me... Well I'm always PREPARED!
I'm a little toooo prepared as some might say
but prepared none the less! :o)
It really doesn't bother me that I'm WAYYY
to organized... I just like it and it works for me! :o)
Anywho... I'm gonna show you the simple
card we will be making tonight....
MOM if you are reading this STOP!!!!
You will need to wait til tonight!!!! OK
THANKS ~ HUGS
Ok... Back to the card... teheheheh

These are ALL the packs that I prepared for tonight's Swap....
Yup... We are doing a Halloween Card! :o)

YUP... It's a JOY FOLD! :o)
I don't think a lot of the ladies in town
have made one of these yet... Sooo
I thought tonight would be there lucky night! LOL
Everything is Stampin' Up
In fact... I used My Digital Studio Software
from SU to make the Background paper
and the Crow and the Happy Halloween w/ Spiders....
It was fairly quick once I decided on what to do...
I just printed it out on White CS and Cut it...
The Stripe Background paper was color printed on
white CS as well.... I didn't have enough Designer paper
to make that many cards soooo I just used what I had on my Software
and printed enough out on 12 x 12 paper... :o)
It works for me! Tehehehehe
Anyway... That's it for me...
I'm hoping Miislucky will be here with something
tomorrow for you.... If not... well
you know I will!!! LOL
Enjoy the rest of your WEEK!!!

Sour Cream Containers!!!!

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Today I'm gonna show you one of
the things I did this past weekend...
Halloween is coming up and I always
make something for my sons classroom...
Well after much debate I decided to
make Sour Cream Containers! Now,
I have never ever made these before
and I have NOOOOO idea why I
haven't made them sooner! :o)
I went over to Okie's blog:
And if you click on the link... It should take you
straight to her video on how simple and easy
these are to make.... :o)
Anyway.... here are the ones I made.... :o)

I used 12 x 12 DCWV Halloween paper (Assorted)
and cut them out at 4" x 5 1/4"
You get 6 out of 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper...
Then used My ATG Gun and put them through
the crimper....

I used a SU Circle & Scallop Punch....
The Sentiment is also from SU....
Added a brad to keep it in place....
I made a bunch of these and the first
batch I made I used thicker Card stock
and they kept opening sooo
I had to re-do them with thinner paper...
Just an FYI on that! :o)
I filled them all up with YUMMY
M&M's candy.... I'm sure his
class will love that!
Thanks OKIE for the Video... It
was sooooo HELPFUL! :o)
I'll be back tomorrow with
a Card I did for the Cricut Cardz Challenge!
Have a GREAT DAY!!!!

Windows and a Poodle...

Hello and Happy Thursday everyone!
I had such a busy day yesterday...
I had to run some errands and I had brand
new Windows installed in my house!
That's my favorite part! :o) The house I live in
was built in 1950 and when I came here to
Utah and saw this house it was Summer and
soooo pretty outside that I never thought
twice about looking at the windows.... Well
we moved into this house on Dec. 1st 2005...
Which was a very cold day and I hadn't noticed
much because I was moving in... then we had snow...
and then it got colder and colder over the past 5 yrs. of living
here that.... FINALLY I noticed the TERRIBLE windows
we had! Sooo we finally had them replace yesterday and
they are BEAUTIFUL and they should help to keep
my house warm this winter! It only took me 5 yrs. to
do this! But it's certainly going to be worth it this yr.
And the best part is that I can actually OPEN the windows
without my hands getting chopped off due to the
windows not being able to stay open on their own! LOL
I'm soooo happy it's done!
Enough about my Windows, here is today's card! :o)
