Thanks a Melon.....

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone! The week is just about
over already.... Do you have plans for the 4th of July? Me?
No, Not really... We don't do much around here...  When we
lived in Vegas we would have a barbecue with friends and
blow off fireworks (The Legal Ones) :o) Because of
where we live now they share the holiday with the
town of Blanding.... They do a big Celebration for the
fourth and We do a Big Celebration for Pioneer Days
which is at the end of July... So there is always a
chance to see 2 firework shows... The other town
is actually hotter than here so we normally don't
go down there until night when they do their fireworks...
Then we just drive back home after that... So nothing
exciting going on around here! :o) I hope you guys
have better plans than me! LOL Today's project was
made for a Challenge over at BBTB2! :o)

4th of July Birthday!

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope your week
is off to a great start! I've noticed several blog challenges
this week that are asking for something that has to do with
the 4th of July! Well you know what.... It's not a card I would
normally make! Just like a summer card or a travel type of card....
So for me these types of challenges are an actual Challenge! :o)
Which is a good thing and sometimes a bad thing.... Cause 9 X's
out of 10 I don't have that type of cartridge and I'm searching
to find something creative to make with what I do have... Luckily
that's been OK so far.... I have a lot of cartridges and can find
at least one image on each to make something up! :o)
Thank goodness I like to buy a lot of cartridges! hahaha
Anyway here is a card I made for my Brother N Law who's
birthday is on the 4th of July! :o)

Normally I don't make him a 4th of July Birthday card...
I just make him a masculine birthday card. But I felt I
needed to challenge myself and make something for
all these great challenges! :o) Of course I had to use
my new Cricut Lite Cartridge as well... I fell in love with
this cartridge when they showed it on the Hello Thursday! :o)

I had to show ya the pretty sparkly stuff! hahaha
OK this card can not be pretty if it's going to be
sent to my brother in law! :o) The idea behind my card is
when you go to watch the fireworks on the fourth...
Your usually sitting back and just watching the
pretty colors up in the sky.... And seeing this Croc
leaned up against the tree just made me think
of doing this on the 4th... He's looking up in the
sky looking at all the fabulous colors! :o)

And the added side view to show all the dimension I did...
Here are the specks on this card....

Card Stock, Ink, Punches - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper - Bo Bunny Avocado Dots & Liberty
Embossing folder for the ground - Swirls (Provo Craft)
Stickles Glitter
Baker's Twine - Blue & Red
Stamp - Above Rubies Studio (Birthday Set)
Silver Glam Rock - Imaginisce
Buttons - My Stash ???
Cartridges - Croc's Rule Lite Cartridge -
(Tree/Croc) # 14 on the overlay Cut @ 3 3/4"
Stand & Salute - (Flag) #1 on the overlay Cut @ 1 1/2"
(Fireworks) # 29 on the overlay Cut @ 1 1/2" (3x's)

I am putting this card into the following challenges:

Cricut Cardz Challenge - Freedom/American Flag
Celebrate the Occasion - 4th of July (Red, White, & Blue)
Birthday Sundaes - Stars & Stripes Birthday
Fantabulous Cricut - Happy 4th (use Red, White, & Blue)
My Sheri Crafts - Independence Day
Whimsical Wednesday - Patriotic (Must use Brads, Bling, or Buttons,
Can use all 3 but must include at least 1 of them)
Sentimental Sundays - Patriotic (Use the colors of your Nations Flag)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
I always appreciate all the comments!
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Happy Bird Day 2 U!!!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone! How was your weekend?
Mine was slow and boring! I didn't really do much other than
some grocery shopping.... I didn't feel to creative so I sat
around the house and did nothing! I guess that could make for
a great weekend too... hummm? Luckily I still have some
cards that you guys haven't seen yet... So I'm covered! LOL

This is a 4 3/4" Square Card
Card stock - Stampin' Up
Red Baker's Twine
Brown Baker's Twine
I used the square Image on the Imagine (4 1/2) and
flood filled it with the Blue DP on Pg. 41 of the
Imagine More Cartridge
Then I used the Mini Monogram cartridge for the
scallop shape(4 1/4) and flood filled that with the Red DP on
pg. 37 of the Imagine and More Cartridge
Then I cut out the Happy Bird Day image
on page 9 of the Imagine and more cartridge
It was cut @ 3 3/4" using the layers button for the
bird and the brown top note shape...

This is were you can see the added dimension
of the bird and the brown top note layer...
It came together pretty quickly which is soooo nice
sometimes.... Any whooo... that's it for
today! I hope you have an AWESOME DAY!!!
Thanks for stopping by! :o)

Country Birthday....

Hello & Happy Thursday everyone! The week is moving
along so quickly! June is almost over already! My goodness....
Time sure does fly when you're having fun! Have you all seen
the new Hello Thursday cartridges yet? I can tell ya this... They
are AWESOME! They had 3 Hello Thursdays this month...
How CRAZY is that? They came out with some great cartridges...
Of course it won't be so good on the pocket book I'm sure! Heck....
I'm still trying to get a couple from April's Hello Thursday! :o)
Hopefully I will get my favorites before the next Hello
Thursday in July! Keeping my fingers crossed! :o)
Well I am back with another Imagine Project!
Sorry about that.... But I told ya I think this
machine is wonderful! :o) Here it is!

This is a 4 3/4" square Card -
Card stock, Ink, Stamp, Punches - Stampin' Up
Gems are Bazzill
Everything else is made with the Country Carnival Imagine
Cartridge!  I used the Red DP on pg. 50 Cut @ 4 1/2"
Then I used the Bonus Content on pg. 43 Cut @ 4 1/4"
I used the Icons (Flowers) on pg. 45 Cut @ 2 1/2" (2x's)
(Butterflies) on pg. 46 Cut @ 1" (4x's)
I did use the Lacey Label Cartridge #4 on the Overlay
with the shadow Feature Cut @ 2 1/2" and
used the DP from the Country Carnival pg. 51 (Blue)
and the (Red) pg. 51 as well

Of course you know I used dimensionals to pop
up the flower in the center and both butterflies....
I think it turned out lovely! Now remember I made 4
of this 1 card using my machine.... So you can see that's
a lot of ink to use up... But it's all good! :o)
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Beware Birthday Boy.......

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone! Did you get a lot of
crafting done yesterday with it being the longest day of the year? LOL
Me... well I got a lot done in the early AM (we are talking Up to 5am)
from Tuesday night too early Wednesday Morning...
So does that count? LOL Otherwise nope!
Didn't do any crafting... but I figured I did a lot the night before/early
morning that it should make up for it! RIGHT? :o) I promise I won't
try and talk about the Imagine today! Just a simple card I made for
a Card Challenge! Hows that for a change? :o)

The challenge is to make a shaped card...
Which I believe this is?? Maybe? LOL
Card stock, Ink, Writer Pen - Stampin' Up
White Signo Gel Pen
Stamp Set - Above Rubies Studio (Birthday Collection)
Cartridge - Life's a Party (Treasure Map) pg. 44 - Using the
Card feature Cut @ 5 1/2"
(Beware) Pg. 64 - Using the Phrase Shift Key Cut @ 1 1/2"
What I did was use my Gypsy & the Hide Contour Feature to get the
red card stock behind the regular map... Then added an extra
Red X & Red Circle to pop them up.... does that make sense?

I did do the inside just a little... I used the same hide contour
feature from my gypsy and cut out another map piece
to go on the inside with a saying which I haven't put yet...
I also crunched up the paper and then inked it, which I wish
I would have done with the front but it was toooo late by then!
DARN IT! Oh well... That's how you learn... Right? :o)

I made this to go into the Challenge over at:
Birthday Sundaes - Shaped Birthday Card

Any whooooo.... That's pretty much it! Thanks for
stopping by and leaving me a comment.... You guys know I
read everyone one of them right? Yes I DO! :o)
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Quack..... Quack.....

Hello & Happy Tuesday! First Official Day of Summer!!
It's also the longest day of the year too! Boy oh Boy I better
get some crafting done if that is true! :o) I hope you guys
are off to a great week so far! Me... well I'm still under the
weather a little bit... but feeling better than 2 days ago for sure! :o)
I got my card swap cards done last night... I used "My Digital Studio"
Program again for those cards to give out on Thursday! But today
I'm gonna show you a card I made with my Imagine! I tell ya if you
don't have one you should really think about it.... I have a post were
I stated I bought it and then canceled my order when they first came out
because the ink cartridges bother me! This is a TRUE statement from ME!
I like the whole idea of that machine but hate the idea of a Tri-Color Ink
Cartridge! Everyone knows they waste ink! DUH! Except..... my hubby
bought me mine for my birthday and how could I say NOOOO to that????
So I was still very skeptical about the ink cartridges until I installed it and did
all the updates and started to play with that machine. And I was actually very
impressed by everything that I was able to print and cut! And trust me when I
say I've used a lot of ink! Really... A lot! For over a month it had said that I was low
on ink and I'm one who likes to use every last drop I can... And I did! I just changed
my ink cartridge the other night after it saying I was low on ink for 6 weeks.... :o)
Now mind you that I use this machine a lot.... you've seen just some of the things that
I've made with it... I always make 4 of every card I make and I've used
it several times for my card swap cards (16) that I have to make at a time...
not to mention all the cards I make just to make.... So I feel that I've
gotten my moneys worth out of this machine so far and the inks...
I'm still not a fan of the Tri-Color Ink Cartridges... but I do like this
machine a lot... So if your of the fence about getting this
machine I totally understand why... cause I was were you are!
And if you just can't afford it... I totally get that too... But I will also
tell ya that Ebay has been selling them pretty cheap so if
it's the price, go to Ebay and check it out.... I know a crafter who
go hers for like $144... With Free Shipping! tell me that's not an
Awesome deal or what? And noooo Provo Craft is not making me
say this... (I Wish) tehehehe I just feel its a great product
and wanted to share my Happiness of this machine with you....
Ok.... On with my Imagine Card that I made to show you! :o)

This was soooo simple to make I tell ya!
Card Stock, Ribbon - Stampin' Up
Everything else - Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge
The background with the Sun, stripe down the side is
from the bonus content and all I did was make the size 4 x 4
then Print & Cut! Then I took the Image on page 8 in the
booklet and just used the separate button to separate all
the different layers and picked out what I wanted.
Ducky - 1 1/2" (2x's)
Butterfly - 1" (2x's)
Pond - 3" (2x's)

Here you can see all the added dimension... I made 4 of these cards
as a 4 3/4" square card! Perfect for someone who is
not sure if their having a boy or girl!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment...
I enjoy reading everyone of them! Have an
AWESOME DAY!!!

Quick & Simple Thank You Notes...

Hello & Happy Monday Everyone! I Hope you all had an enjoyable
Father's Day! Seeing that I'm not a Father mine was pretty laid back! :o)
We did get some rain like I thought we would and I've been feeling off
the last couple of days... I think I got whatever my son has/had... Of course
I don't have the messed up eyes (Keeping fingers crossed) but I've been
sleeping a lot and just feel off.... I'm sure some of you have felt that way
before... I noticed it early Saturday Morning like around 4am and it just
hasn't gone away yet.... So I didn't make anything the last 2 days but luckily
I had things made during the week that I can show you! Yeah for me! So
today's project is fairly simple.... These are the cards I made for my son to
send out to everyone who sent him a gift for his graduation...

Cuttlebug Embossing folder - Rellie Rave
Fancy Punches - McGill
Sentiment - Word Program Used RGB code to make the
writing in the chocolate chip color
Card Stock, Border Punch, Design - Stampin' Up
Photo Paper - Canon

Basically I need to make 20 of these to send out so I used
"My digital Studio" Program from Stampin' Up and made
designs all over a single 8 1/2 x 11 page.... Printed
it out on Photo paper and cut to size... It made for a
quick & easy design and I just started adding the other layers..
Got all 20 done in a short period of time and did the envelopes too!
My son had them all mailed out the next day... :o)
Thanks for stopping by! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Hello and Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you are all
having a wonderful Father's day! It's really cloudy here
and looks like rain maybe be upon us very soon.... :o)
I have been without Internet the last 24 hours... I called
the company and they said someone will be out in the
next 24 hours... Well we've been home all day and nobody
showed up... Or at least that's what I thought... Until I called
them again today to say something and they said someone came
out yesterday? WHAT? He said yes they checked the lines and it was fine?
Hummm? ODD since I still have nooo Internet! So he and I went over a few
things and I realized what the problem was.... I just read an article about
changing your password to something hard and long like about 14 letters/
numbers/etc.... Sooo that's what I did... I changed a bunch of my passwords
that night and then the next day my Internet went out... so as we go to one
section I see my password is not correct and so I put the new password in and
BAMMMM I got Internet! Wished I would have known that before because
my kids were going crazy without it! We don't have TV so we watch things online
and so they were getting restless without it... Any whoooo.... I made this card
for a challenge over at the Cricut Circle blog.... We are to follow a sketch and make
a Father's day card.... Soooo here's mine for that challenge! :o)

Card stock , Ink, Stamp, Window Punch - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper is all from the Audrey Imagine Cartridge
Circle is Cut @ 3" from the Imagine Basic Shapes
Rectangle is cut from the George & Basic Shapes (4 3/4 x 3 1/2)
Vest is from the Billionaire Cartridge Cut @ 3"
This was a very simple card... I really like the clean cuts
I made for it.... :o) Anyway... Thanks for stopping
by HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!!

Country Carnival.....

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone! WOW we are already
heading into the weekend and Father's Day on Sunday! Boy
the month just seems to be flying by! LOL I've gotta take my
little guy to the Dr. today! I think he may have Pink Eye or
a terrible cold in his eyes... He looks awful and both eyes are
infected.... It started in the one eye and I told him not to scratch
his other eye.... That if it felt itchy to let me know... but he didn't
and that evening I noticed it right away and asked him and he said
he couldn't help it... I just shook my head and said now we have 2
eyes to take care of... He's been waking up and crying a lot cause
his throat has been hurting him and his eyes hurt... It looks like someone
beat the crap out of him! Really it does... I feel bad for him and I'm
hoping the Dr. can give him some sort of relief... we shall see! :o)
I've been making a few cards here and there but not
my full goal of getting the cards done for the card swap!
Don't worry I still have one more week cause the owner
of our LSS can't do it this week so that means I got
another week to make them! haha! :o) I did get the thank
you cards made for my oldest son to send out and they
went in the mail yesterday! Then I've been playing around my CCR
program and designing some more cards with my Imagine...
I really, really, really like that machine! Which you all
will notice as I start to show the cards I made with it! :o)
So without further ado here is my card! :o)

First I want to say that I LOVE how this card turned out!
Secondly I got this idea from this months Paper Crafts Magazine
I seen a card in there that looks like mine! That's because
I really, really liked that card! So I thought I could recreate it
using my IMAGINE! And I have to say I think I did GOOD! :o)
Any who... here are the specks for my card -

Card Stock, Ink, Pen, Ribbon, Border Punch - Stampin' Up
Twine - Papertrey Ink

Hello and Happy Wednesday Everyone! You are not gonna believe
this but I almost forgot I had to make a Design Team card for our
Challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog! I'm usually pretty
good at having my project done early and I just realized this last
night! Thank goodness several blogs are having this same challenge
or I would be scrambling! LOL So today's project is for
Cricut Cardz Challenge # 79 - Make a Father's Day Card using
your Cricut and any colors or cartridges you'd like! Sounds like
a good one to me! I used the sketch from Mojo Monday # 195

Antique Copper Brads - Making Memories

the Silver Background for the car.
Lacey Labels (Circles) Cut @ 3" w/Shadow
Country Carnival Imagine Art Cartridge - All
the Designer paper was made using this cartridge.

Here's a side view to show the added dimension
on the Car... I cut the Blue part of the car 2 x's.
And I added some dimension to the circle as well....

The inside was done using some of the left over scraps
and then I used my Word program to print out the inside
sentiment in brown ink.

Birthday Bingo!

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your week
is turning out pretty good so far! :o) Mine is actually
going well! :o) I recently purchased a Fire Pit for my
backyard. I went to pick it up on Saturday and we had
a "Family Night" Sunday so we thought it would be fun
to use it! Unlike most of the country that is in the middle
of a heat wave..... We are not! Not that I mind of course! :o)
Because I live in a higher elevation our Summers aren't as hot as
most places and our Winters are colder and longer than most places...
Sooo It does get warm during the day but by 6pm it is cooler outside and
the Fire Pit is perfect for that! We recently seen those huge Campfire
Marshmallows.... I mean they are HUGE! So I got those for us to make
smores with and boy were they YUMMY! It was a really nice evening
for all of us to sit outside and roast marshmallows and just enjoy each other's
company! Then yesterday I thought it would be fun to cook hot dogs out there
on the open flame.... It turned out pretty nice too! We do own a grill of course
but it was just kind of nice to just sit around a fire and cook a few hot dogs and
marshmallows... Now we probably won't do this every night, but it certainly
beats everyone sitting in front of a computer all night long! :o)
Anyway here's my very simple card for today! :o)

First I want to start by saying I actually designed this
card several months ago! I had started it back in
February and finally got around to finishing it...

 Bakers Twine - Red
Everything else Stampin' Up
I used "My Digital Studio" Program from Stampin' Up
to Make the Bingo and all the little images inside each square.
After resizing all the images I printed it out on Photo Paper...
added the Pear Pizazz Green Backing and used a scallop
border punch on the bottom... Added the Baker's Twine and tied
the Green Button in the Center where the free space would be.
Attached it to Designer paper and then to the pacific point CS.
And there ya go... A simple Birthday card for Anyone!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Peas & Carrots - with a Story....

Hello and Happy Thursday everyone!
You will not believe what happen yesterday!
I was working on some cards for a special order
and As I was doing this my Son Juston comes
yelling at me to take "DAD" to the Hospital!
I was like WHAT??? What the Heck Happen?
He tells me my Hubby Cut his finger off with
a Table Saw!!!! I Was like OMGOSH! Now some
of you know about my hubby and some of you may
not. My hubby had a stroke at the age of 36! He is
Medically disabled due to it and he can't work. He has
always been a worker.... LOVES WORK!! Soooo
since he can't work I've taken care of him over the past
7 yrs. due to his condition and other conditions that
have happen after the the stroke... Any way... Since he feels
the need to work I always ask him to build things for me...
He's not a builder by trade but he makes wonderful items...
Like my turntable punch holder and things like that... Anyway...
He was out in his shop cutting up some wood by himself and he
cut off his pinkie finger!!!! He bleeds really bad due to the medicines
he takes.... so I'm taking him to our little local hospital since we
live down the street from it and I can't even look at his finger... YUCK!
Soooo they do an x-ray and can you believe it... he didn't lose his finger....
He cracked the bone and some of his finger was gone but I thought he
chopped it off at first from what my son was saying! Soooo they stitched
up what they could and gave him some meds to get through the next couple of days....
Boy.... was he lucky! This is the second time this has happen to him! YESSSS!
He's done this before with a different finger... And I remind him that he only
has that 1 good hand so he should really take care of it! He was also helping
my oldest son fix his car and now he has to put that off for a little bit... The Dr.
Wants him to "NOT USE" his hand for anything for at least 2 weeks! Well
that's gonna drive him and ME crazy!!! Cause if he has nothing to do guess
what happens next????? YUP he'll be bugging ME!!! UGH!!! Anyway... I'm
just grateful everything turned out OK! He's in a lot of pain at the moment
cause they didn't give him strong enough meds.... Ohhhh... And before the
Dr. sewed his finger up..... He was suppose to numb it.... right? Well he gave
my husband some numbing stuff but it didn't work and he told the Dr this....
Soooo the Dr. tries to give him some more.... and STILL doesn't work!! So
when the Dr. puts the saline on the open wound my hubby starts moaning
a lot! It's still not numb!!! So the Dr. sprays the numbing stuff directly onto
the open wound which helps some... sooo the Dr. ASSUMES that his finger
is numb and he starts to put the needle thru to stitch him up and my husband
starts groaning in PAIN!!! He's Not numb and he's stitching him up without
anything now! OMGOSH! I could not believe this... My husband is a really
tough guy! I mean he can tolerate a lot of pain but MAN that was awful to watch
the Dr. doing this to him.... Like I said his finger really hurts a lot right now and
I can only hope that he will fall asleep soon and the pain goes away....
I guess I will share a project with you after my LOOONNNGG Story!
